Ranchi, Dec 23: Former Chief Minister Madhu Koda (Jai Bharat Samanta Party) is trailing by 3000 votes from his nearest JMM rivalNiral Purty from Majhgaon (ST) after the first round of counting. Anil Murmu (JMM) is leading by over 2000 votes over his nearest BJP rival Simon Marandi fromLitipara (ST). Ranjit Kumar Tiwari (BJP) leading by 2005 votes over his nearest Congress rival and former Assembly speaker Alamgir Alam from Pakur.
The party position at 9am is Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leading with 12 seats, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) ahead with 4 seats, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) leading with 2 seats and the Congress also 2. Exit Polls have favoured that the saffron party is set to replace the incumbent JMM-Congress government in the state. Jharkhand will see a single party government in 14 years.
