Although Inbox was purely invite based, now Inbox by Gmail will be sharing with you three invites
The official page of the Inbox states that you can join the ‘Inbox’ with an invitation and get it simply by using your Gmail address to request an invite.’ Inbox runs on Gmail. Everything from your Gmail is ‘automagically’ ready for you in Inbox.’ To access Inbox you need to send request to inbox@google.com for your invitation.

You can locate the invite button by tapping the “Compose” plus icon of the screen. The “Invite to Inbox” button will appear after doing so. The invite only accessibility of Inbox makes it all the more exclusive and is helping the new Inbox to create hype with the socially networking active people. This will also turn out to be a sure shot way to increase demand and grow a user base virally. Google is also mimicking email competitor Mailbox, now owned by Dropbox, had made a customary need to queue users to join before trying out the new product.
The all new Inbox is vying to make this transition for those who are very mobile-focused. Though there has not been a confirmed message regarding as to if there will be a desktop version of the same, we wonder how different will it be from Gmail!
