Raja Natwarlal: Why this Emraan Hashmi starrer has flop written all over it!

Emraan Hashmi’s forthcoming Bollywood crime comedy is slated to hit the silver screens on August 29, 2014. Directed by Kunal Deshmukh, the Emraan Hashmi-Humaima Malick starrer was earlier titled ‘Shaatir’. The film also stars Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon in important roles. In comparision to Emraan Hashmi’s previous musical hits, the songs of Raja Natwarlal have fared averagely amongst the audiences. Well, this could be a major reason for the film to be a failure at the Box Office. Lets have a look at the 5 prime reasons why Raja Natwarlal could be a disappointment for the Emraan Hashmi fans.

Music:

Serial Kisser Emraan Hashmi’s films may not do well at the Box Office every time but the songs of his films are always super duper hit! However, the songs of Raja Natwarlal have fared averagely amongst the audiences. Though Bollywood’s celebrated singers like Arijit Singh, Benny Dayal and Mika Singh have given their voices for the film, with songs like ‘Namak Paare’ and ‘Flip Your Collar Back’, the soundtrack of Raja Natwarlal has failed to impress us big time!

Humaima Malick:

We don’t really expect much from model-turned-actress, Humaima Malick, who is making her debut in Bollywood with Raja Natwarlal. After watching the trailer, it looks like her role in the forthcoming crime comedy is that of just getting all dolled up and looking pretty.

Promotions:

While most of the stars take to popular television shows and press conferences to promote their films, the stars of Raja Natwarlal haven’t put in too much effort for the promotion of their upcoming film. Poor marketing strategy could be one of the prime reason for Raja Natwarlal to be a disappointment for all the Emraan Hashmi fans.

Plot:

The story of Raja Natwarlal revolves around a small- time con man who seeks assistance from his mentor with an intention of setting scores with a top-level gangster. We think that the story is mediocre and not-so-impressive.

Inspired by ‘Jannat’ series?

After watching the trailer, it seems like Raja Natwarlal is heavily inspired by Jannat series which also showcases Emraan as a mastermind who can easily con anyone.
