Pakistan vs Zimbabwe, ICC World Cup 2015 highlights: Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Irfan’s top-notch bowling & other top moments of PAK vs ZIM match
Superb fast bowling effort by Mohammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz handed Pakistan their first win of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Pakistan survived some vicious moments and eventually managed to beat Zimbabwe by 20 runs in ICC Cricket World Cup, Group B Match at The Gabba, Brisbane. Defending paltry total of 236, Pakistan managed to cross the line courtesy wonderful fast bowling by Mohammad Irfan and Wahab Riaz. The two were responsible for restricting Zimbabwe to 215. Pakistan batting falter again: Pakistan openers once again failed to provide their team with a solid start and inside five overs, both Nasir Jamshed and Ahmed Shehzad were back in the hutch. Jamshed fell in the second over and Shehzad in fourth over, both batsmen were removed by Tendai Chatara. Misbah, Wahab help Pakistan post 235: After losing two openers, Pakistan Captain Misbah-ul-Haq and Haris Sohail then shared a half-century stand and brought some stability to innings. But Sohail was dismissed in 21st over and Pakistan were reeling at 58 for three. Misbah then had 69-run stand with Umar Akmal, but disaster struck Pakistan when Sean Williams removed Akmal and Shahid Afridi in one over. It was then Misbah and Wahab Riaz who took Pakistan past 200-run mark. Pakistan lost wicket of Misbah at a crucial juncture as he was looking to up the ante, but 46-ball 54 by Riaz gave Pakistan a decent total to defend. Mohammad Irfan Rocks Zimbabwe: With 236 to defend against an in form Zimbabwe batting line, it needed something special from Pakistan bowlers. Onus was on, giant Irfan and he did not disappoint. Irfan removed both the Zimbabwe openers inside first seven overs and brought Pakistan back in the game. The tall fast bowler then dismissed Hamilton Masakadza, who had formed a partnership of 52 with Brendan Taylor, to provide Pakistan with the breakthrough. First three wickets to fell of Zimbabwe innings were picked by Irfan.
Brendan Taylor keeps Zimbabwe in hunt: After Taylor’s half-century stand with Masakadza, he found another able partner in Sean Williams and the duo notched another half-century to keep Pakistan almost out of game (or tournament). The Taylor-Williams stand was worth 54 and in the process Taylor approached his half-century. Wahab Riaz swings it Pakistan’s way: Just when Taylor was taking game away from Pakistan, Wahab Riaz struck regularly to keep Zimbabwe at bay. The left-arm removed dangerous looking Taylor for a well-made 50 and the picked all-important wicket of Craig Ervine as well. With Irfan coming back for his spell to pick another wicket it was Riaz who wrapped up Zimbabwe innings by dismissing Elton Chigumbura and handed Pakistan their first win of the tournament.
