Jaylen Fryberg is the 16 year old gunman who opened fire today in the cafeteria at Pilchuck High School in Marysville, Washington. He injured around five people, including a friend after which he killed himself. Reports say that two people involved in the shooting are dead. One of the deceased is a female student at Pilchuck. Popular in school

He was also crowned the Homecoming Prince at the school dance in October. He was a respected popular figure in school. He was part of both football and wrestling team in school. He also frequented social networking where he wrote about his love for sports.

Avid hunter

It was reported that Jaylen Fryberg was a passionate hunter. In one of his Instagram photos, which is now deleted showed him holding a rifle which he described as a birthday present from his parents. He wrote, “Probably the best Birthday present ever! I just love my parents!” However, that was not the gun he used for shooting, it was reportedly a smaller handgun. It was also reported that the gun he used to shoot the students was owned by his dad.

Relationship

It is also reported that Fryberg recently through a breakup. He was dating the same girl fro seventh grade and the sudden drift apart was a shock to him. He had lot of message on his social networking profiles to the girl. Two weeks later, the girl had put up a status saying that everything happened and that people came and went in her life “for a reason.”

Tulalip Tribes

His social networking profiles shows him as a member of the Native American Tulalip Tribes and lived in Tulalip Bay, Washington, about six miles from Marysville. A prominent elder named Ray Fryberg is the tribes’ director of fish and wildlife. Fryberg posted an Instagram last January comparing the number of Americans killed on 9/11 with the “12 million Native Americans killed by Christians”.

Fryberg frequently updated his Twitter account. Recently he has been tweeting furious tweets and does not seem to be happy with the things that have been lately happening in his life. Here are some of his tweets
