India’s 68th Independence Day which means our country became free from the British’ rule before 68 years.
Today is India’s 68th Independence Day which means our country became free from the British’ rule before 68 years. We have been celebrating this national festival since our childhood. Hoisting the national flag and saluting it, singing the national anthem, reciting the national pledge, listening to patriotic songs were some of the common activities we ensured on every August 15.
But do we really understand the meaning of the things we did out of practice? In the video below made by Immortal Dreamz on Independence Day campaign we see that even the most educated people fumble when asked simple questions relating to the National Flag and National Anthem.
Some of them were not sure if ‘Vande Matharam’ or ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is the National Anthem. Although we celebrate the heroic day when our freedom fighters fought and sent the Britishers back, we are not really sure of the brave heroes who shed their blood for the nation.
When asked for any five names of the courageous leaders, only some managed to give a name or two. So this Independence Day should we go back to out history books or is it that we are not really considerate about the people who got freedom for the nation?
Watch the video to see some of the most hilarious answers to some of the basic questions about our country!
