A lot has been said and debated about the fact that that playing with unrealistically proportioned Barbie dolls affects young girls. At present there are many young girls who are obsessed with the doll. They strive hard look like the plastic doll and maintain a Barbie appearance and figure.

The toy doll has been a volatile topic over the years in the context of the body image of girls. No doll has sparked more controversy than Barbie. But do kids see Barbie the same way we do? Maybe not.

‘The Barbie Project’ got two documentarians and a play scientist to go over to people’s houses and film kids playing with the Barbie on the occasion of Mother’s Day.

“No scripts. No rehearsals. Just real kids, real parents, telling their stories,” said Mattel, the maker of Barbie. Watch the interesting video below that could serve as an ad for Barbie.
