Mumbai Traffic Police: Video pays tribute to traffic cops’ journey

Mumbai, the economic capital of India daily bears the traffic of almost 2 million vehicles. But only 3200 police men control the traffic of this metro-politician city. Despite the fact that the man power is much less as compared to the traffic on the roads of the city, Mumbai Traffic Police managse the flow of traffic everyday. The credit of smooth flow of traffic in Mumbai goes to the Mumbai Traffic Police and its institute ‘Traffic Training Institute Mumbai’.
The video while celebrating the 50 years of Traffic Training Institute Mumbai, shows how the traffic police of the city control the heavy traffic. Mumbai traffic police established a traffic training institute for traffic police on April 30, 1964. Police all across the country comes to the institute to learn traffic management. The institute teaches several aspects of traffic management, road safety, traffic laws, RTO, traffic management, road safety tips, manual signal operations etc.
Considering the stress of work these days, the institute also gives stress management training to the traffic police. The institute also gives training to school students, taxi drivers and BEST bus drivers. As of now, almost 31,802 police men and 14,000 civilians have been trained from the institute.
The video also gives certain unknown facts about traffic police of Mumbai by explaining how they toil hard to control drink driving and accidents on the roads of Mumbai. The video appreciates the traffic police of Mumbai for their contribution in maintaining the smooth flow of traffic. In last, the video requests the people of the city to co-operate with traffic police department. This is first time, a video on the work on traffic police has been made public which otherwise usually goes unnoticed. More such information should reveal the work of public servants which would make people understand what actually them have to go through in their work daily
