Independence Day: Indians try to recite the Indian pledge

Remember the page long school pledge on your school diary? Did you not say the lines which proclaim all Indians to be your brothers and sisters? In an Independence Day special video, people were asked to recite the entire Indian pledge but how much people could recite was shocking.

We are not saying that everybody remembers the entire pledge despite saying it over and over in school assembly every morning but what some people think is the Indian pledge is shocking if not more.

Just for those who have no idea or want to know what the Indian Pledge is, here we have the entire Indian pledge -

‘India is my country. All Indians are my brothers and sisters.

I love my country and I am proud of its rich and varied heritage.

I shall always strive to be worthy of it.

I shall give my parents, teachers and all elders respect and treat everyone with courtesy.

To my country and my people, I pledge my devotion. In their well-being and prosperity alone lies my happiness.’

Did you remember the Indian pledge or did you also forget the rest of it past the second line? Check out the video here.
