Condom problems: How do Indians buy the contraceptive?

Do you remember the Moods condom ad that showed a reluctant customer going speechless while buying a condom at the chemist’s? Taking a tip from that TV commercial, viral videos creator Indian Dope Trick has posted a video that shows you the types of Indians who buy a condom and how. The funny video tells you how awkward Indian men are while buying the condom, while the girls are more free while asking for the birth control tool.

A timid man who never asks for it, a miser who thinks a condom is as expensive as gold, a drunkard who flaunts his requirement, a cool dude who straight away asks for it, a boy who bumps into his teacher while asking for a condom, a girl who asks for a flavoured condom while her boyfriend is shy, and another one who asks for a female condom (femidom) – the hilarious video shows it all.

Indian Dope Trick says it created the condom video to increase awareness about birth control and safe sex: “Talking about sex or related topics is considered a major taboo among Indians in smaller towns and even bigger cities. While the awareness about safe sex has increased over a period of time, there is an urgent need to implement it largely in our society. In this video we are trying to portray how different kinds of people ask for condoms at a chemist shop. Some are shy, some bold, some happy, some enraged, some drunk, some naive BUT they all practice safe sex. Let’s spread awareness and promote safe sex to help protect the people from dangerous sexually transmitted diseases like AIDS”.
