16-year-old puts Bananas to good use
A young girl from Turkey uses her mind to put bananas to amazing use.
Elif Bilgin, 16, recently won the Scientific American Science in Action Award at the 2013 Google Science Fair for having made plastic out of Bananas. Bilgin is a Turkish national discovered an innovative way of reducing pollution in her home city of Istanbul. Her efforts will go a long way in not only reducing pollution around the world but also reduce the size of non-biodegradable garbage around the world.
Bilgin makes us think of the enormous possibilities of putting the things around us to good use, only if we use our minds to think creatively and sometimes scientifically. Watch the video of the great effort this young girl put in to make the world a better place.
