Kings XI Punjab will take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Hyderabad in an attempt to regain their top position of the teams standing by achieving win against the Sunrisers. The match will be a different kind of scenario for the Kings XI because the pitch at Hyderabad might just be the slowest and spongiest wicket they have played on in this tournament. Sunrisers on the other hand were enjoying a good little run of form until the Mumbai Indians beat them in their last game. They would on the other hand look to win and strengthen their position in the middle of the table.
Kings XI Punjab
X Factor: Kings XI has three batsmen in the top 10 batsman of the current edition of the IPL. Their batting has been god like and there has rarely been a game where they have not been able to score a score in excess of 150. Although they will be up against a very strong batting line up and a will play on a slow pitch there is hardly any doubt in anyone’s mind that they will be playing their own brand of cricket.
Watch out for: Mitchell Johnson, David Miller.
Mitchell Johnson has not been at his usual best in the current edition of the IPL but there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that he is one of the key players for their success. Also his pace and bounce will be a key against the top heavy batting line up of the Sunrisers. David miller is a good batsman against pace and his experience against the pace of Dale Steyn will play a key role in the result of the match.
Weak point: The team gets kind off complacent once they are in a good position. That complacency cost them their last match against the Knight Riders. They will want to make sure to not get complacent here and win the match to regain their top position in the table.
X factor: the Australian duo t the top of the batting line up are the reason why the Sunrisers have managed to win the games that they have done. Both of them feature in the Orange cap candidates list and they will be the key players against the Kings XI.
Watch out for: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Dale Steyn
Two bowlers who have again and again, on more than a million occasions this season have toiled their hearts out for the Sunrisers. Bhuvi on one hand is the top contender for the Purple cap, while Steyn on the other hand is simply put, the best bowler in the world. The bowling Partnership at the top of the Sunrisers attack has been a treat to watch so far and we are expecting it to deliver once again.
Weak Point: The spinners, especially Amit Mishra seems to lose his cool once the batsmen get after him. This happened in their last6 game against the Kings XI and also the game against the Mumbai Indians. Mishra will have to maintain his cool under such circumstances if he has to deliver a good performance against the Kings XI Punjab batting line up.
