First Chelsea and Cristiano Ronaldo were graced by The Simpsons, and now Barcelona are the latest football club to join the trend. Maybe it’s for good luck since they welcome Manchester City to the Camp Nou for the Champions League second-leg of Round of 16 clash.
Barcelona announced on their official site that they were joining forces with the world’s favourite cartoon family and unveiled the Simpson-ized versions of Neymar, Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta to celebrate.
FC Barcelona reported on their website:
“Barcelona and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products have unveiled ‘Simpson-ized’ versions of Messi, Neymar, Xavi and Iniesta, as part of a campaign featuring a collaboration between the famous American series and the club.
The agreement, which runs until 2015, provides for cooperation to create a broad product line of merchandising.
Apart from FC Barcelona, other teams that have joined the collaboration (including) Chelsea, Juventus, FC Porto, Boca Juniors, Corinthians and Zenit.”
