Mithali Raj completes 5,000 runs in ODIs, hailed as ‘Lady Sachin Tendulkar’ on Twitter

Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj reached a milestone by completing 5,000 runs in one-day Internationals, by doing so she became the first Indian woman to achieve the feat. The Indian skipper also became the second women cricketer to complete 5,000 runs in ODIs, after England’s Charlotte Edwards. Mithali has represented India in 157 ODIs and has scored 5029 runs at an average of 48.82, which include five centuries, 37 half-centuries.
She reached the landmark during her unbeaten knock of 81 against visiting New Zealand side in Bengaluru, which helped India win the match.
