Delhi Daredevils will face probably the best batting lineup of this tournament when they face RCB in the second match of the IPL 2014 on Thursday. Delhi who did not retain any of their players in the IPL 7 auction this year, has a whole new look to their team. On the other hand the Bangalore franchise retained the core of their batting lineup and then added some more spice to it. We can very well hope to see a high scoring match for the first time in the tournament.
ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE
X FACTOR: The batting line up is with out a doubt the X Factor for the Bangalore team in this year’s IPL. The batting line up boasts of some of the greatest and biggest names in the 20 over format and if even one of them get going, the entertainment for the fans will be out of bounds.
Watch out for: Virat Kohli, Ab De Viliers.
Two of the best batsmen in the game today form the core of the middle order for the RCB team. Virat is more of the technically sound player who will get you runs by good looking strokes, while Ab De Villiers is the batsmen who has no respect for the bowler and no mater where you bowl the ball, he is going to smack the ball for a boundary
Weak point: The bowling will be a major concern for the RCB team and it would be really interesting to see how they manage their limited resources, as the amount of Indian bowlers in the bowling line up is full of inexperience.
X FACTOR: The Delhi Daredevils team is filled with quality all rounders. The team looks very balanced on paper and one cannot ignore the fact that Kevin pietersen will be available for the entire tournament this time around.
Watch out for: Kevin Pietersen, Dinesh Karthik.
These are two of the most expensive players in te Delhi line up. Kevin Pietersen will be playing the entire tournament but this time around and will also be looking to prove a point to the ECB by performing well. On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik is a free flowing batsmen and the runs don’t stop coming when he is in the middle.
Weak Point: The team looks very balanced on paper and the only way they can mess that up is by playing inconsistent cricket. If all te players perfrom to their designated abilities, the Delhi Daredevils can very well be the dark horses of this years IPL.
