Indian Super League: Mumbai City FC announce Jabong as Principal Sponsor for ISL 2014

Fashion online retail web portal Jabong has partnered with Indian Super League’s Mumbai City FC as its principal sponsor and will sell it was announced on Saturday. The Ranbir Kapoor co-owned club are yet to unveil their jersey with a little over 24 hours to go before their opening game against Atletico de Kolkata at the Salt Lake Stadium.

Founder and Managing Director of Jabong, Praveen Sinha spoke highly of their association with the Mumbai-based club and hoping to further nurture his venture that was launched in 2012.

“We are ecstatic to be a part of a game which has been an integral of Indian culture and by striking an alliance with Mumbai City FC Jabong is announcing its religious support to football. In the past Jabong.com has proven to be a brand which stands by to promote any kind of sport in order to achieve a healthy India and football owning to the grandeur it entails, deserves a strong support from our end,” Sinha explained.

Peter Reid’s side prepared for the start of the tournament with victories in all their friendly matches. Syed Rahim Nabi was announced as the club’s captain with German international Manuel Friedrich assisting the Indian defender.
