Indian Super League: Abhishek Bachchan co-owned Chennaiyin FC unveil official crest, name it 'Duradrishti'

Chennai, Sep 22: Chennaiyin FC, the newest club of the Indian Super League (ISL) Monday unveiled its official Logo — Duradrishti — also known as Drishti, a representation of preserving positivity. The club’s unique logo was launched by former Italian World Cup winner and Chennaiyin FC manager-player Marco Materazzi and club’s co-owner Vita Dani.

The logo is a symbol commonly used by every house in Tamil Nadu to deflect the negatives and maintain the positive environment and perfection. The colour yellow, being the lightest hue of the spectrum, represents uplifting and illuminating, offering hope, happiness, cheerfulness and fun, while blue is synonymous to trust, honesty and loyalty.

“I am delighted that our team name and logo originates from the heart of Chennai’s life and culture. I am thankful to ISL for creating this wonderful platform and I look forward to make Chennai my new home,” Vita said. The inaugural season of ISL is scheduled to start from Oct 12. Chennaiyin FC will play their first home match at the 40,000 capacity Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Oct 19 against Kerala Blasters FC.
