India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to field in the third One-Day International (ODI) match of the five-match series at Nottingham on Saturday. India come in to the match with a 1-0 lead after the first match was abandoned due to rain.

Suresh Raina’s century and Ravindra Jadeja’s four wicket haul took India to a comprehensive 133-run win over England in the second ODI at Cardiff. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Rohit Sharma too struck brilliant half-centuries to help India post a total in excess of 300. The latter however suffered an injury on his finger which ruled him out of the series.

The Indian selectors have drafted in Murali Vijay as a replacement for the Mumbai batsman. Vijay looked good in the initial part of the Test series which India lost 1-3 after leading the series at the end of two matched. The visitors find themselves in a similar situation in the ODIs. However, they will look to ensure that disaster is not repeated.
