India vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI: 5 Interesting stats from the game

Second-string Indian side defended a low total of 105 against Bangladesh by bundling the most for 58 runs in just 17.4 overs to take a 2-0 lead in three match ODI series. The match was reduced to 41 overs per side due to rain after India was put to bat first. Here are some interesting stats from the 2nd ODI which went down in the record books.

1)     Bangladesh (58) equalled their previous lowest score in ODI’s, which came against West Indies in 2011 World Cup. This was for the 14th time that Bangladesh were bowled out for less than hundred.

2)     Stuart Binny’s 6 for 4 is now the best bowling figures by an Indian in ODI’s, surpassing Anil Kumble’s 6 for 12 against West Indies in 1993. Binny conceded only four runs, the minimum given away for a six-wicket haul. His figures are also the ninth best in ODI cricket.

3)     Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed registered 5 for 28.His performance is the fifth best by a bowler on ODI debut and he also became the eighth bowler to scalp five wickets on debut.

4)     India’s lowest total before this game against Bangladesh was 191-10 in 2007 World Cup, now 105 all-out becomes their lowest total.

5)     105 is now the lowest successful total defended by India in ODI’s.It also is the lowest total defended in the history of ODI’safter a team was bowled out.
