EPL Table & Results: Points Table and Team Standings at 2014-15 Barclays Premier League Week 4

Chelsea leads EPL points table

The English Premier League 2014-15 saw great hold by the table toppers Chelsea who maintained their dominance with fourth straight win in Barclays Premier League. They hammered Swansea City 4-2 to take lead in the points table. The week 4 also saw former champions Manchester United move back into the top-10 positions with their first win of the season under manager Louis van Gaal. The Red Devils defeated QPR 4-0 in a lop-sided match at Old Trafford. This win earns them first 4 points are placed at 9th rank.

The Barclays Premier league season of 2014-15 is likely to be an extremely competitive tournament. There are at least five contenders who can win  the top prize. They are Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United. The dark horses will be Totenham Hotspur and Everton, although it will be difficult to even remotely consider them to finish as champions, will still add the surprise element to the table. Southampton will be another exciting team in the tournament to make it loads of surprises.

Manchester City have not made any big signings but it will be difficult to write them off as they have a complete squad, with at least two players for every position. Chelsea, on the other hand, have made some amazing signings for some big bucks, the likes of Diego Costa, Cesc Fabregas and Felipe Luis strengthening the side to fill up crucial positions. The cherry on the cake for the Blues fan would be the return of Didier Drogba, their talismanic striker for eight seasons till the Champions League winning season of 2011-12.

Everton and Totenham might not win the Barclays Premier League this season but expect the two sides to spring up a few surprises to make it another exciting and eventful season of football in England.
