Ashish Nehra comes on to bowl his third over. Manish Pandey has taken a liking for the left-arm pacer as he hits him for a huge six over long on. Pavan Negi is introduced by Dhoni and a the first ball of the over almost saw KKR lose their first wicket. A mix up by the batsmen in in the middle after they scamper for single after the bowler misfileds. The third ball is a full toss and the ball a whack by Uthappa almost finds McCullum at long on. Gambhir then heaves on the leg-side and the ball runs away to the boundary. Negi gets some majestic turn away from Uthappa and raps him on the pads. The ball was pitching too high though.

The length is shorter from Ashwin in the first three deliveries of the over and is running in very quickly. He is warned by the umpire too, much to the dismay of the bowler. Gambhir then plays a beautiful late cut for a four! The southpaw keeps strike.

Dhoni’s men under the cosh for the first time in the tournament and the skipper continues with his tried and trusted force Mohit Sharma. Dhoni’s has come up to the wickets to stop Uthappa was stepping down the track like he did so effortlessly against Ashwin in the previous over. The fifth ball is overpitched by Mohit and is struck beautifully through extra cover by Uthappa for another boundary. Dhoni whips the bails off in a flash in the last ball of the over and replays show that Uthappa’s foot was in the air for a second but grounded it back on time. NOT OUT

Bad ball to start proceedings by Ashwin in the fifth over. Its wide down the leg-side and Ashwin missed out on a sureshot boundary. Gambhir was the batsman and he misses out again in the fifth ball as well. The other deliveries are full and bowled to the field and and the last ball of the over is beautifully chipped over long-on by Uthappa and its is over the long-on boundary for a six!

Watch the live over by over updates as former champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is set to take on Indian Premier League (IPL) champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the final of Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014 final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. Just like last year, two IPL sides will battle it out to be crowned best T20 club in the world.

Gautam Gambhir will lead the Kolkata Knight Riders outfit after going unbeaten for more than 13 matches. Robin Uthappa, Manish Pandey, Ryan ten Doeschate and Andre Russell have fired with the bat. The bowling has mostly relied on the slower bowlers – Sunil Narine, Piyush Chawala and Yusuf Pathan. However, the poor form of Jacques Kallis will hurt the team as his inclusion adds a lo of weight to the side.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni on the other hand will be happy knowing that Pawan Negi has contributed well with both bat and ball. The rest of team has performed consistently throughout the tournament. Ashish Nehra and Mohit Sharma have led the attack well. They have taken over the burden from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra jadeja to bail out the team every time.
