Greek American music composer Yanni, popular in the 1990s, will be visiting India in his first concert in the country in 17 years. Yanni, whose real name is Yiànnis Hryssomàllis, had famously performed live for three days at the world-renowned historic monument Taj Mahal in Agra, India in 1997.
The renowned composer will be performing in Chennai and Bangalore on April 14 and April 18 respectively.
The B&W group is organising the two shows of Yanni. The Chennai concert will be held at the Nehru Indoor stadium and in Bangalore, at the White Orchid Convention Centre near Manyata Tech Park, says a release.
Yanni recently performed in Muscat and is on a worldwide tour since March 2014. His entourage has planned to visit at least 20 countries. After Chennai and Bangalore, the respected musician will head to a Sri Lankan city.
He will carry on to London, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Munich, Moscow, Prague, Kiev, Tel Aviv and Johannesburg. The last leg of his tour will be closer home in the US and Canada.
