Just when we had started enjoying the ever-blossoming romantic equation Asher (Fawad Khan) shares with his begum Khirad (Mahira Khan) there came a major twist in the tale. First it was Sara who could not digest the fact that Asher can never assume the role of her life partner, and now it’s the new entrant, Khizar (Noor Hissan Rizvi) in this engaging drama who is hampering the romantic tale from going forward. But his entry has definitely added the much needed tadka to this serial which was growing mushier with every passing episode.
The latest episode (episode number 8) saw Baseerat taking ill. He is hospitalized. In a rather serious conversation Baseerat warns his son against hurting Khirad for he feels that she is very innocent soul. Asher, already in love with his new wife, promises that he will keep the promise. Baseerat later dies in his sleep. The family accepts the cruel reality the fate doles out to them. This unfortunate occurrence brings Khirad and Asher closer to each other.
Khirad enrolls in graduate studies for her masters degree. She meets Khizar, Sara’s paternal cousin has strong feelings for Khirad. Sara too is still not over Asher. Khizar starts to visit Asher’s house more frequently, praising Khirad and (therefore, naturally) making Asher jealous. It would be interesting to know how things will unfold in Asher and Khirad’s paradise with Khizar trying to get close to Khirad.
