A major fire broke out at Mumbai’s Killick Nixon studio owned by Ekta Kapoor on Friday evening. The studio located in Sakinaka, Mumbai is used for the shooting of her popular tele-soaps, including Ye Hain Mohabbatein. Though the cause of fire is still unknown, no major casualties have been reported so far. It has been reported that the actors were shooting when the studio caught fire. However, the unit was safely ushered out but they couldn’t prevent the major damage. A total of five to six fire engines were rushed to bring the blazing flames under control.

Previously, the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil have caught major fire resulting into severe damage. Though the extent of damage was quite high no casualties were reported even then. Was this an accident or a deliberate attempt to pull out the insurance money? Well, we don’t know. Ekta Kapoor’s Ye Hain Mohabbatein is a popular television serial that airs on Star Plus. The show is roughly based on Custody a novel by Manju Kapur. The soap opera casts Karan Patel, Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hassanandani and Ruhanika Dhawan in lead roles. Divyanka Tripathi the female lead of the show tweeted about the accident on her personal micro blogging account.
