68th Independence Day makes Bollywood get emotional with patriotic movies and songs!

India is celebrating the 68th Independence Day and all the prominent personalities from all walks of life have greeted the people of the country. Bollywood celebs have also wished their fans on the occasion. While talking about their favorite patriotic movie and song, many bollywood stars seems to get emotional and have expressed their attachment with the movie and song.

Newcomer talent in the industry Sushant Singh Rajput connects with many songs of music legend AR Rahman.  He says, “I love what A R Rahman Saab’s ‘Ma Tujhe Salaam’ and ‘Lukka Chuppi’ does to my soul. Every time I hear these numbers I am reminded of how Indian I am.”  He feels immense feeling of patriotism when he watches Rang De Basanti and Lagaan. He says, “While watching Rakeysh Mehra’s Rang De Basanti and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Lagaan, I feel the same surge of patriotism. I also feel very inspired by Tom Cruise in Top Gun.”

Another raw talent of Bollywood Ayushman Khurana is inspired by Rakeysh Mehra’s Rang De Basanti and AR Rahman’s compositions. “‘Vande Mataram’ by A R Rahman and Lataji is my favourite, followed by ‘Mera Rang De Basanti Chola’ which inspires me no matter who sings it. “ He added saying, “The most inspiring movie I’ve seen is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti. It is contemporary relevant and non-jingoistic.”

Singer Mohit Chauhan who is fascinated with the national anthem says, “When it comes to patriotic songs nothing else inspires me more than the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’. It never fails to stir something urgently nationalistic within me. For Mohit, Chetan Anand’s Haqeeqat is most inspiring movie.

The sweet voice of Bollywood, Sunidhi Chauhan considers song ‘Ae Mere Pyare Watan’ as an inspiration. She said, “Ae Mere Pyare Watan’ is my favorite patriotic song.”
