Gaza, Aug 13: The toll in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 1,951, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Health ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qadra said the number included 469 children, 243 women and 88 elderly people, according to MENA news agency.

He said more than 10,193 Palestinians were injured in the offensive. A new 72-hour truce has been in place since Monday. Israel launched Operation Protective Edge July 8 in retaliation to what it said firing of rockets by activists of the Islamist movement Hamas.
