Rahul Gandhi vs Smriti Irani: Congress Vice President and HRD Minister involved in flaring battle over IIT-Madras row on Twitter!

Both Smriti Irani and Rahul Gandhi went all guns blazing on social networking site Twitter earlier today over reports of an IIT-Madras student group, Ambedkar Periyar Students Circle’ (APSC), being banned after criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who has been on an ultra-offensive mode since his 57-day sabbatical, took this opportunity to slam Minister of Human Resource Development (HRD) Smriti Irani through his official account on Twitter. Smriti, known to be a fierce politico, returned fire with equal measure. We take a look at the flaring battle on the microblogging site below:

The Mercurial HRD Minister Return Fires..

Rahul Gandhi and Smriti Irani go back a long way as both politicos fought against each other in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections in Amethi constituency. The duo also went against each other recently when a food park was allegedly cancelled by Narendra Modi-led government recently; but it was later revealed that it was cancelled during the then Congress regime. And with Smriti inviting Rahul for another debate, it seems like Diwali is coming too early for Amethi this year!
