Meerut gangrape and forced conversion: Twitterati slams system

The uproar over gangrape of a 20-year-old teacher in Meerut saw politicians across party lines firing salvos at each other. In what seemed to be a incident of gangrape earlier, medical reports of the girl confirmed that one of the two fallopian tubes were removed from her body. The gangrape allegedly inside a madarsa took a communal turn when the girl in her statement said that she was forced to convert her religion to Islam.

BJP MP from Meerut Rajendra Agarwal raised the matter in Lok Sabha on Wednesday which saw political barbs being exchanged over the issue. Meerut gang rape has witnessed huge outcry on social media as Twitterati and Facebook users are sharing and posting their views on the girl’s plight endlessly. The police swung into action and has arrested 3 persons allegedly involved in the crime.
