New Delhi, Sep 4: Silver prices rose by Rs 127 to Rs 41,920 per kg in futures trading today as speculators created fresh positions on the back of recovery in the precious metals overseas. At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in September traded Rs 127, or 0.30 per cent, higher at Rs 41,920 per kg in business turnover of 11 lots.

Likewise, the white metal for delivery in far-month December traded higher by Rs 53, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 42,330 per kg in 303 lots.
Market analysts said fresh positions created by speculators in tune with a recovery in bullion in the global markets on speculation that recent fall in prices may spur purchases, influenced silver prices at futures trade.

Meanwhile, silver gained 0.20 per cent to USD 19.22 an ounce in Singapore.
